SPECIAL FUNDRAISER on Aug 6, 7, 8 from 12-5 pm!
$20 all you can eat ribs, a side, and a beverage. Live entertainment and prizes. Proceeds go to The Simone Family. Captian Tony Simone saved over 150 lives in Iraq and Afghanistan flying for the 66th Rescue Squadron on a fleet of HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters. The original HH-3E, dubbed the "Jolly Green Giants", became infamous in Vietnam for their risky rescues. Their slogan became "That others May Live." Tony was on his third tour in Afghanistan just three days shy of going home when his helicopter went down during a search and rescue mission. Tony sustained head trauma and burns; he is currently in a coma in Tampa, Florida. His wife of three years, 8-month-old son, and parents are keeping a watchful eye over him. The prognosis is still uncertain. With the help of Harpers Tavern and W&L, we are hosting a BBQ event for Tony and his family. For a man who has saved so many lives, its now our turn to repay the favor. |
